Launch editor, Time Out Singapore

As a veteran Time Out editor with extensive knowledge of the brand, I was recruited from New York to move to Singapore in order to develop a local editorial team, and lead them in the launch of the monthly Time Out Singapore magazine, part of the international Time Out family of publications. My stint last nine months, after which I passed the magazine to the local team. My responsibilities included:

•Recruiting, hiring, training and managing in-office staff and a stable of local freelancers

•Crafting first six issues: creating and editing feature packages, section stories, covers

•Setting up a production and editorial system that could be handed over to the local team when I left

•Developing framework and strategy for online content of a new website
